More than just Supercars Galore: TEN, aka Khaled Mazeedi, the Youtube Pundit

Showcasing incredible cars in stunning locations across the world, it’s hardly surprising that Khaled Mazeedi, ‘Ten’, on social media has amassed over 3.4 million subscribers on YouTube and 2.1 million followers on Instagram. The Youtuber started his social media career in 2017 and his videos currently receive more than five million views per month – an impressive feat by any means.

HOW DID YOU BECOME INVOLVED WITH SOCIAL MEDIA?

It was never a goal of mine to become an ‘influencer’ – I began sharing my passion for cars, watches, traveling, and love for experiencing different cities and cultures on my social media channels as a hobby. I enjoyed sharing my interesting experiences with other people, and wanting to be more involved in the automotive world so I began filming my adventures with interesting cars, turns out people liked it!

HOW DO YOU GET ACCESS TO SO MANY EXOTIC CARS?

In the beginning, I filmed my cars – I currently own a Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari 458, Mclaren 650s, a custom Jeep Wrangler, and several other vehicles. However, because many dealership’s owners are close friends of mine, I get access to almost any car I please. Now, brands come knocking on my door and offer whatever car I need!

WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT YOUR JOB?

Connecting with people, the opportunities, the travel, and of course the cars. But the most valuable takeaway is with the great people that have become my friends along the way. I have made lifelong friends through the luxury car community and nothing tops the relationships I have with them.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS THE MOST DIFFICULT PART OF YOUR JOB?

The most difficult…. I would have to say, editing videos. It used to take hours, but now I have a good team and I still get to keep my creative control. I actually like editing now, but I still have to tell myself “Ok, I’ve got at least 3 hours of editing to do, and I have so many other projects I need to work on”, and it’s always been this way. But the minute I find my groove, I get in a rhythm and everything comes together.

YOU HAVE LUXURIOUSLY TRAVELLED THE WORLD – WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE ADVENTURE?

I always fly my Lamborghini to different parts of the world, that car is a tank – knock on wood- it was the first supercar I ever purchased. Because I am the founder of the Lamborghini World Club, I often organize rallies with other Lamborghini owners. My favorite trip was in 2017, a bunch of us flew our cars to Switzerland and we ended up driving most of Europe, to some amazing cities like Geneva, Milan, London, Barcelona, Monaco, Paris, and Zurich.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE CAR THAT YOU’VE DRIVEN?

That is a very tough one. Currently, the Zonda Cinque is my favorite – it’s next-level crazy!

WHY DO YOU THINK SO MANY PEOPLE WATCH YOUR VIDEOS?

My aim from when I first started to upload videos is to be authentic. There is not much of that around nowadays. People want to know what you are like, so faking it will never work. I think the fact that I am always myself and share my life authentically really resonates with my audience. It’s almost as if we are on a journey together. I am very involved with my audience, sometimes I think to myself, how awesome it would be if they too could experience being in the passenger seat on all the crazy trips I get to experience – sharing my own in the next best thing.

IS THERE ANY ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE TO ANYONE TRYING TO FOLLOW IN YOUR FOOTSTEPS?

People ask me this question hundreds of times via email and Instagram. I know this may sound a bit of a cliche, but I usually say this: Focus on what you’re passionate about and start building a channel around that. It takes months or years to see results on Youtube, and this is why I tell everyone, if you are not making videos and enjoying them, you will eventually burn out. Building a successful channel is like building a brand – it takes serious work and dedication, you need to be an expert in the niche you choose, and your audience has to be able relate to your content. Being authentic is the best thing you can do for yourself.

WHAT ARE THINGS YOU HAVE LEARNED FOR OWNING SUPERCARS?

I have been in the supercar game since I was 24, I saved up and bought my first supercar at that age, a Lamborghini Gallardo spyder! It was a great decision because I networked with so many other owners, which have become lifelong friends. I’m 34 now and I have changed a lot as a person since then but it never gets old, I love supercars.

WHAT ARE YOUR AMBITIONS FOR THE FUTURE?

It’s a challenging question, currently, I am launching multiple brands including a very special perfume house. I am involved in premium credit cards and other technology start-ups. I will continue social media but I also have an interest in creating unique products. I am also authoring my book called ‘The Glitch’: which talks about how to succeed in life, in a way that’s never been done before. The future is going to be full of exciting projects.

TELL US ONE PIECE OF GEAR THAT YOU ALWAYS NEED TO CARRY?

My phone without a doubt. I am always on the go and love being connected with everyone, especially when I am traveling. I stay connected to family and friends but I also use it to film my Instagram stories and to take photos that I share with my followers.
