Mary Ng met Tuesday virtually with U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai to talk about some festering trade, including Canada’s “significant concern” with a tax credit for electric vehicles.
In their meeting, Ng’s office reported the proposal as a counter to the terms of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA.

Ng took issue with the U.S. making good last week on its plan to double its duties on Canadian softwood lumber imports nearly.
